在傳統線型區位理論中，唯有在「單位運輸費率為距離之遞增函數」的 假設下，廠商才有可能選擇中間區位為其最適生產區位，然而，這項假設卻與現 實社會普遍存在「單位運輸費率為距離之非遞增函數的運翰方式不相吻台。本文 嘗試結合區位霍誇衰起琵差義．拷土起使用視為生產函數的必要投入之一，藉此 試圖解決傳統相關文獻中有關「運輸費率」之不合理假設。在本文模型架構下， 由於土地使用為廠商生產最終產品之必要投入，因此，廠商在選擇最適區位時， 不僅需要考慮最終產品及原料的運輸成本負擔，同時也需兼顧該區位土地成本之 負擔，結果顯示在運輸費率為距離之非遞增函數的情況下，廠商之最適區位仍有 可能存在中間解，打破傳統Exclusion Theorem的困境。

　　　　　A revised Weberian linear model which takes land input into consideration is used TO make tile location choice of a firm while avoiding the weakness of unrealistic assumptions as TO Transport ratestructures which have been employed in relaTed literature. Thepresent paper attempts to integrate location theory with rent Theory to find the optimum location of a firm under ihe assumptionof a "nonincreasing transport rate" with distance. It is shown thatthe possibility of intermediate optimal locations does exist in ourframework. This result is contrasTed with the "Exclusion Theorem"in the traditional Weberian hnear model.
