1960 年代後期，臺灣人纖成衣出口的成長，是帶動臺灣人纖工業迅速發展的起因，也使人纖工業成為臺灣紡織業的主體；因此檢視人纖成衣工業的發展特性，以吻合貿易及發展理論的觀點。進一步從產銷關係，探討這個時期，臺灣人纖成衣的生產是與日本成衣業在海外布署其垂直整合的國際分工有關，也可歸屬為日本海外加工製造的一環。
industry against the theory of international trade and development. Analysis is based on the international production-and-marketing relations during the 1960s. It is found that the production of Taiwan's man-made fiber clothing were related to the international division of labor among the overseas vertical integration web of Japanese clothing industry. Therefore, it could be regarded as one of the Japanese overseas production bases.
