     本文旨在探討圖書資訊學教育有待突破的二個方向。第一個方向指出圖書資訊人 員的訓練,不能再受限於圖書館這個機構。資訊中心、資訊分析中心、知識中心、智庫等機 構理應都是我們可以著力的目標。當前的問題恐怕是圖書資訊學的教育過份著重分類系統的 訓練,而忽略其他資訊分析與服務機構所需組織工具的訓練。第二個方向則與圖書資訊學的 研究有關。前此的圖書資訊學研究被批評為學術性不足,我們實有必要先了解圖書資訊學被 其他學科引用的主題分佈,由此來省視我們與其他學科科際整合的切入點,重新思考我們的 研究方向。
     This article explores the needed two breakthroughs in the education of library and information studies. The first breakthrough is related to the professional training. For decades,LIS education has been emphasized too much on the management of library,in the future,LIS education should focus more on the training of the needed skills related to information center,information analysis center,knowledge center, and think tank. The second breakthrough is related to LIS research. LIS reseach has been critized for lacking of scholarly contribtion. We should investigate how other related fields citing LIS literature,from this understanding, we might find the way to conduct more significant research, in order to be reconized by other related disciplines.
