此為筆者撰寫《宋代史籍考》之一部分。《宋史、藝文志》著錄末人刑法類著作多達一百八十五種。然宋人刑法類著作賣不止於此。筆者檢索《宋史‧刑法志》、《宋會要輯稿》、《玉海》、方志及公私藏書目錄，又得數十種。由於篇帙繁多，又初續兩編撰寫，此為初編，共考述二十六種。

　　This is a part of the author's complete project on the textual research of the history of Sung Dynasty. There are 185 books written by the writers of Sung Dynasty collected in the Criminal Laws of Art and Literary Book of the History of Sung Dynasty. Obviously, ,there are lots of writings in the Sung Dynasty comcerning criminal laws. However, there are more, relevant books than there appear to be. Based on the catalogues of both public and private libraries since Sung Dynasty, the Book of Criminal Laws of the Histor of Sung Dynasty, the Anthology of Books in Sung Dynasty, Yuhat, Local Geography, and the prefaces and postscripts of several prose collections, the outhor has come up with another scores of them. Due to its incredible length, it has been compiled in two stages, preliminary and subsidiary. In this preliminary compilation, the textual research and description of 26 books pertaining to the' criminal laws are included.
