Neighborhood parks play an important part in the daily life of urban inhabitants. Not only does it provide places for recreation and sports, but improve the urban environment quality for social activities. However it would be an interesting issue between balancing the quantity of increasing neighborhood parks and the needs of recreation. Questionary survey took place at recreation places in Taichung, using the quantity, and distribution of parks, environment quality, planning, design, construction quality, and maintenance to realize the satisfaction of neighborhood parks. With 619 effective questionnaires, we inferred the result that residents did not show lower satisfaction toward neighborhood parks, and each satisfaction item correlates to social-economic backgrounds, recreation attitudes, and the usage of parks.
