語言體係的不同可能影響學生在學習外國語或第二語言時朗讀(reading aloud)、技巧的應用。 先前研究與理論對朗讀 (reading aloud)與默讀(silent reading)有不同的爭論。此外,不同語言學習程度的學習者是否使用不同程度之朗讀與默讀技巧也值得研究。此論文乃探討國內專科學生是否採用不同程度之朗讀技巧來閱讀英文。研究結果提供國內英語閱讀教學參考。

The variance of writing systems might be an important variable to learners' use of reading aloud technique inforeign/second language reading. In addition, research and theorieshave different voice about reading aloud and silent reading. Whether or not the proficient learnersapply more silent reading or reading aloud strategies in EFL/ESL reading than the beginning learners needs further research. In this study, the author tries to investigate how Chinese EFL college students, with different proficiency, apply reading aloud strategies in reading English. The study results offer valuable references to EFL/ESL reading instruction
