The purpose of this study is aiming at understanding the nurses' attitude toward research and their perceived support of research. Correlational design was used and 382 nurses were selected from a medical center. Descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, Pearsons's correlation coefficient, and t-test were used for data analysis. The important findings were as follows: (1)Nurses' attitudes toward research was positive. Most agreed that "Participating in nursing research is a valuable learning experience". (2)The most positive perceived support from the institute was that the nursing department offered continuous education for nursing research. The most negative perceived support was the lack of time to conduct research. Results of this study would enhance the continuous education for research and guide the direction for nursing research utilization in their practice.
