題名:國家競爭力、產業競爭力與廠商績效--依據「世界競爭力報導」與Porter「鑽石模式」為基礎之實證研究

     本文目標在於探討國家競爭力及產業競爭力對個別廠商經營績效的解釋力。研究 首先探討 IMD 所公布的「世界競爭力報導」,發現其衡量上具三項缺點:( 1 )以全國家 為衡量單位而非特定產業,( 2 )主要以次級資料為主,僅具間接效果,( 3 )沒有效標 可供驗證解釋力。 因此本研究回顧 Porter 「鑽石模式」文獻,建構一具有五構念、30 題 項之產業競爭力量表。另選定兩項廠商績效指標為效標,對各國赴歐投資廠商進行跨國性郵 寄式問卷調查。在 86 個有效樣本的資料分析後發現,世界競爭力報導及鑽石模式均能解釋 廠商績效,然後者之解釋方向較與預期一致,特別是要素、企業策略、結構與競爭等構念解 釋力尤佳。本文亦附列鑽石量表題項,與對競爭力研究的建議。
     Literature proposed that there are some shortcomings in IMD/WEF's "World Competitiveness Report (WCR)." In order to solve them, this study constructs a new scale according to porter's (1990) "Diamond" model. A fiveconstruct, thirty-item scale is built. In order to test the reliability and validity of the new scale, data from 86 foreign-owned firms of European countries are surveyed. Two performance indices, i.e., sales growth rate and market-share growth rate, are employed as criterion. The results indicate that both WCR and the "Diamond" scale are valid on explaining the firm performance, while the latter has better correctness. This article also lists items of the new scale, and suggests some directions of the future issues on competitiveness.
