The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of intermittent walking on physical fitness of elementary school students. The average age、 height and weight of the 21 subjects were 10.05 ± 0.80 year-old、 141.82 ± 7.04 centimeters、 38.41 ± 10.03 kilograms, respectively. The intermittent walking intervention exercise was held for over eight weeks, three times every week, and each time for a duration of 10、 15、20 minutes at morning and afternoon. Tests were conducted before and after the intervention exercise, the results of the tests are as follows. 1.Among the three groups, flexibility and cardiorespiratory function have significantly improved throughout training. 2.Walking above three days per week, twice per day, fifteen minutes per time will improve or maintain appropriate flexibility and cardiorespiratory function.
