     國際企業在海外的研發投資正逐年增加中,尤其是亞太地區已成為國際企業在海 外的新重心,臺灣的製造業技術、資金與技術人才正是吸引國際企業在此增加研發投資的誘 因。然而海外研發的成敗,乃繫於其策略與管理的配合。因此,本研究藉由文獻整理及個案 訪談, 嘗試建立一國際企業海外研究發展策略性管理的整合 / 回應( Integration-responsiveness )架構,用以探討海外研發的動機、策略與管理的關係。 更 以國際企業在臺研發部門及臺商海外研發部門為實證研究對象,驗証上述理論架構。 藉由 5 家個案公司的訪談, 與 77 家廠商的實證研究分析的結果發現:海外研發策略可用 全球整合與本土回應兩個構面分類;海外研發管理活動(規範性整合、與母公司溝通、地方 自主程度、研發資源寬鬆)則受到研發策略的影響。而研發策略也受到研發動機的影響。最 後,本研究發現研發策略型態在研發管理的「與母公司溝通」和「地方資源寬鬆」上都有顯 著的差異。
     The purpose of this research is to explore a new framework of foreign R&D strategic management and to find out the links among foreign R&D motivation, R&D strategies and organizational management practices. 77 samples of MNEs R&D units abroad are used in this research, and methods of MANOVA, factor analysis, and hierarchical regression are used to test the hypotheses. The following interesting facts have been revealed: Firstly, according to the integration- responsiveness framework, foreign R&D strategies can be categorized into three types: accepted, autonomous and active. Secondly, R&D Organizational management practieces are different among different R&D strategies, Finally, R&D motivations have significant effects on subsidiary, R&D strategies practices.
