For an ice hockey player, skills to hit the balls on the ice are not as essential as their leg muscle strength. Ice hockey players should emphasize they training on enhancing their leg muscle strength because in the game, the leg skills influence how well position shifting are done and or the ability to speed up during running, which in trun determine the winning or losing of the games. Insufficient leg skills often reflect the disability in controlling acceleration or slowing down their speed on ice. Thus the players are likely to crash into each other and result in neck injury and bad perfromance.
