The comparison of the observation of novice and experienced teachers' technique for viewing, understanding, and decisions making in classrooms has been studied wildly. Portable computers have become a useful tool for teachers and researchers in systematic observation along with the rapid development and generalization of computing technology. However, most people still maintain traditional paper-and-pencil data recording when engaged in Physical Education Systematic Observation in Taiwan, which uses more time. In order to collect and analyze complex data effectively, computerizing the process of traditional paper-and-pencil data recording in systematic observation will be the most effective solution. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze and integrate three sets of DOS version of observation system, review related literature and develop a Visual BASIC program of systematic observation computer program on teachers' behavior in physical education. This program will be used as a research tool for physical education researchers to observe teachers' behavior and to study classroom management. It will also assist physical education teachers to provide feedback for their own teaching situations, in analyzing the teaching effectiveness for facilitating self-modification and enhancing teaching technique.
