In this study, the Data collectd in 1994 in The Report on the Leisure Life Sruvey in Taiwan, Directorate-General of Budget,Accounting and Statistics of Executive Yuan,Republic of China,were adopted. With the Crosstab comparisons of female's leisure behaviors in different urban and rural areas, the findings were:1.In comparing females'daily leisure behavior, the significantly different activities were reading magazines and newspapers for the indoor activities. For outdoor activities, the significantly different activities were picnicking, mountain climbing, and backpacking. 2.In comparing needed leisure facilities between rural and urban females, rural females have more needs for facilities of community park, swimming pool, art museum, sicence museum, local culture museum, zoo and botanical garden. 3.In comparing recreational obstacles and travel frequencies between rural and urban females, the possible obstacles for urban females were: Gnot having enough time, the need to care for the family, and not having money. For rural females, the obstacles were: Gnot having time, need to care for the family and limited by health problems. By selecting three of the most different activities between rural and urban females, the logistic regression was applied to analyze the socio-demographics and trip frequencies for each activity.
