近幾十年來，東亞地區圖書館事業發生了前所未有的巨大變化。本文通過對該地
區公共圖書館事業發展現狀的分析，對區域內各國以及各地區公共圖書館之間的比較，探討
東亞地區公共圖書館事業發展與經濟發展的關係、公共圖書館發展的特色及其未來前景。

Libraries in the East Asia have undergone a dramatic change in the past
decades. The article explores the relationship between the library development and
the economic development, and the features and the prospects of the public library
development in the region, through a comparative study on the development of the
public libraries in the countries and areas within the region.
