本文旨在探討 (一) 聽障學障兒童之鑑定; (二) 聽障學障兒童相關論題:含聽障學障教師準備度、教學策略、及服務方式等。綜合本文簡要摘錄國外研究之重要發現如下: 1.聽障學障的鑑定非正式的過程評量如教師的觀察及課程為主的評量仍是較好的方式。 2.家族史與聽障生的學障有高相關;家長對兒童校外表現的報告也有助於資料解釋。 3.語言能力與學習能力出現不一致的現象,為辨別聽障學障的一項重要指標;而智力和成就的差距標準不再是首要,取而代之的是處理過程及記憶力的問題。 4.任教聽障學障的教師須接受特別的方案訓練,或兼具聽障學障教育背景者方能擔任。 5.聽障學障教師策略,以透過使用修正的教材和策略之個別化的教學佔最多,「後設認知」的策略教導特別受到重視。
