This paper presents a generic model of digital water marking image techniques Based on the following principles: steganography, spread spectrum communications technology and noise theory. Concepts and functional modules are developed in this paper to describe an abstract scheme of digital water marking image methods. Firstly, we briefly describe the related work in digital water marking images. Then a generic digital water marking model and a general analysis of parameters in this model are presented. According to this generic model, several specific digital water marking image systems will be discussed. Finally, conclusions are drawn and the future directions are discussed.
