This article first attempts to explain the meaning of total quality management, and then puts forward seven points as its conclusion. They are constant improvement, the pursuit of updated tactics, previous prevention, customer-oriented policy, quality guarantee, total participation, and on-the-job training for school staff Based on these fundamental concepts, here are the proposals the author brings forth for improving the quality of school buildings so that those who are in charge can take them into consideration: 1.Establish a long-term integrated project. 2.Form a campus design group to usher in total participation. 3.Emphasize quality control in the project and design. 4.Emphasize the quality in the process of bidding for school buildings. 5.Establish the quality control system in construction. 6.Establish the quality management system in construction. 7.Evaluate the quality of construction. 8.Equip the school staff with school buildings' knowledge. 9.Obey relevant construction regulations. By means of promoting total quality management, we hope that the staff concerned will emphasize the quality of construction and maintenance of school building and establish a common belief in quality promotion. In addition, we hope to completely improve the defects of school buildings by following the due process and practicing quality control in a systematic way.
