[Purpose/significance] With the advent of big data era,Library and Information Science( LIS) education is facing great challenges. [Method/process] Taking the LIS postgraduate education curriculums of the iSchools in American,Europe and Asian and Pacific regions as the research objects,the big data related course descriptions and syllabus are investigated,including course introduction,characteristics,course content,teaching methods,examination methods,required readings,experiment conditions and the teachers for these courses. [Result/conclusion] Based on the analysis,from the perspectives of the big data environment,massive resources,processing methods and analysis technologies,the paper makes some proposals related to the goals of talents cultivation,curriculums arrangement,teaching modes and conditions in the LIS education.
