面對新的發展背景和多部門競相推動"多規融合"的社會現實,需要重新思考城市規劃的社會定位和城市規劃的現實問題。城市規劃學科的產生和發展,源于人類追求更好人居環境的理想,并在及時回應發展變化的城市問題的社會實踐中不斷進步。而這種進步,需要一代代具有理想精神的城市規劃者,通過"知行合一"的社會實踐不斷推動。規劃師需要結合實踐,不斷發展完善專業的"六能","心、手、眼、口、腦、足"并用,在"理想—實踐—理想—實踐"的過程中,持續漸進地推動規劃引導下的人居環境改善。

The social orientation and practical problems concerning urban planning should be reconsidered in the social reality of the promotion of multi-planning integration by diversified departments under the new developing background.The formation and development of urban planning discipline originated from people’s ideal for pursuing better human settlements.It made constant progresses in the social practice by responding to the changing and developing urban problems,which needs the effort of generations of urban planners with idealism spirits to practice "uniting knowledge with action." In the process of "ideal-practice-idealpractice," planners need to continuously improve their professional skills on six aspects,i.e., "mind,skill,sight,communication,brain,and practice," so as to gradually boost improvement of human settlements under the guidance of urban planning.
