作為一項在英國16-19歲教育階段實施的新的三級資格課程計劃,核心數學課程的實施源于高中階段數學教育的危機、高等教育對數學技能的需要以及勞動力市場對數學技能的需求等。該課程重在培養學生的數學應用能力,實施必修課和選修課相結合的編排方式,注重應用基于問題解決的教學模式,并根據專業項目的需要分別通過5個專業團體授予的應用數學證書、情境數學證書、工作與生活數學證書、量性推理證書、量性問題解決證書和AQA數學學習證書等6個證書加以認證,形成了較為規范的運行框架。
As a new Level 3 qualification curriculum practiced in 16-19 education of U.K., Core Mathematics is the result of the demand for Mathematics learning from upper-secondary education, higher education and labor market. In order to develop the Mathematics applied competencies, Core Mathematics is in timetable in forms of optional block or requirement, develops students’ problem-solving skills in teaching, and awards six certificates in Using & Applying Mathematics, Mathematics in Context, Mathematics for Work & Life, Quantitative Reasoning, Quantitative Problem Solving, and Mathematical Studies by five professional organizations, which could be a significant lesson for Mathematics curriculum reform in China high schools.
