This research examines netizens’ trust in central,provincial and county governments in mainland China. It explores the relationship among internet media use,trust of government,and confidence in China’s macrosituation. It finds that netizens place different levels of trust on central, provincial and county governments,and that a significant positive correlation is shown between the credibility of local government and the confidence in China’s macro-situation. It also finds that different media access influence different layers of the government.
