In Chinese,Xiaohuozi(小伙子),Da gu’niang(大姑娘),Daye(大爺),Dama(大媽)and others are well-known address terms for different age groups of different genders.In the new media context of Blog,Micro-blog,WeChat,etc.,Baifumei(白富美),Gaofushuai(高富帥),Nuannan(暖男),Xiaoxianrou(小鮮肉)and a large number of gender address terms appear and are widely used.This paper analyzes the characteristics of these new gender address terms and their complex social and cultural psychology from the aspects of origin, structure, semantics, and pragmatics and so on.
