根據劉家和先生的觀點,自殷、周之際至司馬遷作《史記》的這段時間是中國古典史學的形成時期。這一時期又可分為"以史為鑒"、"以史為法"和"以史立言"這樣三個階段,分別以《尚書》、《春秋》和《史記》為代表。本文目的在于,根據劉先生的這一分期框架,分析和探究中國古典史學中的"求真"問題,然后在與西方有關歷史客觀性理論的比較視野下,挖掘其對當前有關歷史客觀性或真實性觀念的重建所可能具有的意義和價值。

According to professor Liu Jiahe,as the forming period of Chinese classical historiography,the period from Yin and Zhou Dynasty to Sima Qian ’s age can be divided into three stages,whose representative works are respectively SHANGSHU,CHUNQIU and SHIJI. Based on this framework,the paper surveys the problem of "seeking the truth"in the classical historiography,and attempts to reveal its significance for reconstructing the historical objectivity in a comparative perspective.
