[Purpose/significance] This paper explores and verifies the staged relationships between mobile social network users’ use behavior and their privacy concerns as time goes on.Based on the existing concept updating theory,a privacy trade-off model is proposed to explore the three stages of users’ engagement in mobile social network(before use, initial use, continuous use),relationship between user perceived benefit and privacy concern, and users’ self-disclosure intention.[Method/process] This paper has integrated into it the privacy trade-off theory, and probed into social network users’ willingness of self-disclosure.The research was conducted by carrying out the surveys on 512 college student group valid samples in three stages, and structural equation model was adopted to test the samples,as well as validate the mediating effect.[Result/conclusion] The test result indicates:perceived benefits have positive impact on users’ usage and self-disclosure,while privacy concerns have negative impact on both of them. And both the positive and negative impacts increase as time goes on;it should be noted that users’ usage,as the mediating variable, will amplify the impact of the other variables on users’ disclosure.Self-disclosure has a greater positive impact on users’ perceived benefits in the later stage, and users’ usage will have a greater negative impact on their privacy concern in the later stage.
