Library self-discipline norm is the restraint of spontaneous maintenance of order.This paper uses intuitive data statistics and visual knowledge maps to quantitatively analyze the self-discipline normative texts of Chinese and American libraries,and makes qualitative comparisons of the similarities and differences from the aspects of system characteristics,text characteristics,and semantic content.The system characteristic includes library oaths,librarian oaths and other supporting specifications.The text features include freedom,human rights and responsibility ethics,democratic spirit and benevolence,justice,courtesy,micro operations and macro guidance.The semantic content includes moral concepts,library rights,collection construction,resource utilization,and social responsibility.The purpose of the study is to further improve the level of self-regulatory system in the field of libraries in C hina.
