隨著總統大選的到來，各方人馬無不處心積慮，根據情勢發展擬定選戰策略，其 中最受矚目的莫過於連宋兩人的衝突互動，連戰是國民黨欽定的接班人，宋楚瑜則是民調始 終居於領先卻不為當道所喜的前任省長，兩方陣營在面對衝突情境如何做出決策，進而擬定 一套最佳策略，是許多人關注的焦點，本文試圖從博奕理論觀點來分析兩方互動，因為博奕 理論正是「研究在衝突情境下做決策的方法」，由於事件仍在進行中，本文將以宋楚瑜在宋 章會後宣布參選總統之日作為分水嶺(88年7月16日)，探討兩方陣營前後互動策略的優先 順序與最後決定，分析其奕局為何由非零和轉為零和奕局的過程，而在零和奕局確立後，雙 方即已無法尋求雙贏策略。
