2011 CEPD statistics showed that the population aged over 65 in Taiwan was more than 11% of the total population, indicating population structure in Taiwan is gradually aging. During the digital age, the computer's ability to the elderly people might make their life more abundant, increase social relationships, and enhance their life satisfaction. The purposes of this study were, the first, to explore how the computer application ability, the concept of computer information products and the using environment affected life satisfaction for the elderly. Then, to explore how the personal background variables affected the relationship within the above varibles. Finally, to understand the importances of computer learning for the elderly. The study used questionnaires to collect information. The interviewees were participants of the computer courses in the Learning Center of the Taipei City around 2013, April. Data was organized by the SPSS 14.0 software in terms of reliability and validity analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and regression analysis. The results were summarized as the following four conclusions: 1. The elderly were more likely to learn the ability of working orientation computer application ability. 2. In the concept of computer information products, "easy-to-use visual fuction" and "experiences" were more likely to affect their life satisfaction. 3. In the using environment, the software environment were more likely affect their life satisfaction. 4. Computer application ability, health status and computer using environment were the most influential factors toward the life satisfaction.
