目的：2012年初，亞裔籃球選手林書豪在NBA掀起一陣旋風，除了其背景與所屬支球隊極有故事性外，種族也是被大眾所關注的焦點而媒體在對林書豪進行報導時，是否會用特殊的框架去對林書豪進行包裝，是本研究欲探究之議題，方法：由於當時林書豪現象影響之大，屢屢登上各大媒體版面，有別於其他商業雜誌或綜合雜誌，因而本研究係用該球季臺灣地區發行之NBA雜誌進行文本分析，期望從專業NBA雜誌中了解該媒體對林書豪現象之報導。結果：本研究結果發現媒體在對林書豪進行報導時，的確用了本文所引用之三項框架去報導林書豪，藉此描述林書豪與其他NBA球員之不同，並凸顯其亞裔運動員之背景，結論：媒體建構三大面向來對林書豪進行報導，儘管為臺灣媒體但仍可見報導有受刻板印象，違背了應秉持的無種族差異。
