This paper studies the co-opetition relationship between third-party payment platforms and banks. How do banks create a new business model among the rapidly developing electronic commerce? Banks have linked electronic commerce along with the Bank 3.0 financial digitization. Facing with the keen competition of the worldwide commercial digitization, banks in Taiwan are able to expand the market through internet, social media, mobile payment…etc. To sum up, banking was mainly focusing on management of cash flow. As a novice in the internet market, there is a certain degree of difficulty to make a disruptive innovation of service model. As a result, banks should provide more stable and innovative cash-flow services and cooperate with the third-party payment platforms to support the third-party payment and creative a friendly, safer, and more convenient transaction environment. The present payment environment in Taiwan is very convenient. Even though banks do not operate the third-party payment by themselves, they can still find their way out by financial service digitization.
