     現代詩又稱作新詩、白話詩,也叫自由詩。 詩歌文學是最精粹的文學,以精鍊的字句表現至深的情思。詩可以寫景,可以敘事,也 並不排斥特定情境下的說理。然而從本質上看,詩是抒情的。「主情說」是詩歌的一個優良 傳統。而使詩人動情的一切自然景物、社會事件以及蘊藏其中的哲理,都從屬於感情的抒發, 並通過藝術的構思而進入形象體系,融合而成完美的詩境。因此,欣賞詩歌作品,捕捉詩歌 美感,歸根究底就是要充分領會體現於整個形象體系、整個詩的意境中的情感美和心靈美。 目前國、高中國文課本中,即選錄有「現代詩」為範文。「現代詩」的形式,有別於散 文;其文字精鍊,含蘊深曲,過難於散文。而「現代詩」教學的重點,在於如何指導學生捕 捉詩的意境中的情感美和心靈美。 「現代詩」的教學是情性的教學也是美感的教學,因此,除了知識的教學及習慣技能之 教學外,更應重視「欣賞」的教學。同時,在現代詩中,抒情、寫景、敘事往往出現大幅度 的跳躍,從而留下一大片一大片的空白,給領會詩美造成相當程度的困難。因此,現代詩欣 賞必須借助豐富的生活經驗及審美經驗,而審美經驗的提供,正是「欣賞」教學的主要課題。 本文試從「欣賞的種類」、「欣賞的過程」及「欣賞的方法」三部份,提供現代詩的欣賞教學 活動。
     Modern Poetry is also named "new poetry", "oral poetry", or "free poetry". Poetry is the very wonderful literature, which is represented by stanzas to communicate the deep inner feelings. Poems could illustrate scenery, describe some occasions, and even teach a lesson if it is needed. According to its' characteristics, poems are the means to express one's feelings. Sensibility is an excellent tradition in Chinese poetry. Those materials, touching poems heart, no matter sciences, social matters, or inside philosophical meanings, are sensed from the complex emotions. By the way of artistic conception, these materials are turned into imaginary system, even harmonizing to a perfect boundary. In the long run, the method, appreciating poetry works and catching the main idea, falls on being thoroughly comprehensive of the feelings and spirit --- in the imagery and boundary. Several modern poems are adopted in the high school textbooks. The forms of modern poetry are different from that of essays. In addition, the vocabularies are so condensed that they are more difficult then essays. The emphasis, relating how to teach Modern Poetry, lies in methods to lead students capture the feelings and spirit out of sight. Teaching Modern Poetry is kind of sentimental and esthetic. Besides knowledge and techniques, we should take more attention to the appreciation. At the meanwhile, it's hard to attend the comprehension, because poetry is sometimes to exist in the continuities and discontinuities of language, leaving a great deal of free space. To jump a conclusion, appreciating Modern Poetry requires abundant experience of life and esthetics. In short, esthetic experience is the main portion of appreciation. The following applies several suggestions of appreciating Modern Poetry with three parts, classification, process, and methods.
