This research utilized historical research method and literary analyzing method to examine the change in our technological and vocational education within the hundred years. The evolution in schooling system can be broken up into periods according to socio-economic and industrial change:
1. Industrialization period (1862-1948)
2. Japan colonial period (1895-1944)
3. Labor intensive industry formation period (1945-1960)
4. Labor intensive industry period (1961-1980)
5. Technical intensive period (1981-2001)
In accordance to each time period, the socio-economic development and its correlation with education development is first discussed. Then, higher technical education, high school technical education, in service technical education, and technical education in normal schoolings are in such sequence discussed pertaining to their transformation. In the end, an analysis of such transformation with the various periods is being made. This thesis is split into nine chapters with about 400 thousand Chinese words. Through various research, nine conclusions and 13 suggestions are mad.
