"Mind-Brain Identity Theory" is one of the important theories in the field of philosophy of mind. Why this theory is so important in modern times? How did the "Mind-Brain Identity Theory" began? Is there any weakness inside the theory itself? Can this theory successfully substitute for all the other theories of philosophy in the future? Those questions will be answered in this dissertation.
First, we will introduce some important theories in the philosophy of mind, we can get a whole picture of it by doing this. Then we focus on the development of "Mind-Brain Identity Theory" itself, on the one hand, we will know the historical improvement about the theory; on the other hand, by discussing some serious problems caused by the "Mind-Brain Identity Theory", we can have a more deeper understanding of it. And this is also the main purpose of this dissertation.
