The development of open source software is considered a special way of information system development, because its development scope is including how the teammates of open source software to integrate their professional knowledge, how their ideology to have bearing on the project of concept, design and solution with teamwork, and how to make open source software to develop an available project. This research utilizes ideological theory to develop a theoretical model and discover the availability through the collaborative elaboration and communication factors.
This study mainly demonstrates the correlation of this framework by network questionnaire to the members of open source software community. The result of the research reveals that the collaborative elaboration and source reliability have the positive influences on the teamwork output; meanwhile, it also certifies the correlation among ideology, collaborative elaboration and communication factors.
1.Values have positive influences to collaborative elaboration, communication decoding competence, and communication encoding competence.
2.Norms have positive influences to collaborative elaboration and source reliability.
This study contributes to concretize the relevant factors for developing the open source software, providing high efficiency output from the team work via promoting the effective process of development, utilizing appropriate way of learning and information technology. For the academic circles, to find the relation of cooperation study, communication s competence and teamwork output extends the research for this field.
