This paper attempts to deal with a group of historical works of high-level rulers, including Three Kingdoms of Chen Shou, Wei Shu of Wang Shen, Wei Lue of Yu Wei, and Wei Shi Yang Qiu of Sun Sheng. By observing the differences in the various historical archives, especially different political attitudes of them, this study argues that the most revered regime in Three Kingdoms by Chen Shou is Cao Wei, and the Shu Han regime follows. It is mainly because Three Kingdoms stands for the Cao Wei orthodoxy and therefore negating the betrayal Sun Wu regime. In contrast, Yu Sheng and Sun Sheng are willing to sacrifice the authenticity of historical materials for not allowing the history to be blank. Chen Shou stands exactly on their opposite side. The key is that what kind of content is more in line with the historical truth that the historian understands.
