過度訓練之為害,輕者降低訓練效果、影響最佳成績;重者是早結束運動生命,如何及早發過度訓練狀態,是運動訓練研究的重要課題。有計對過度訓練的預診,分從生理和生化的角度,針對心跳率、血壓、最大攝氧量、乳酸、肌酸激、尿酸、睪酮/皮質醇比、腎上腺素、正腎上腺素、游離色氨基酸/支鏈氨基酸比等指標,提出探討。
