     本研究為一相關性研究,目的在探討自費健康檢查民眾中,超音波骨 質密度檢查結果與性別、年齡、停經與否、身體質量數之相關性。樣本係以南部 某醫學中心自費健康檢查者為對象,共有356人參加超音波骨質密度檢查,其中 男性152人女性204人,資料收集包括年齡、性別、停經與否、體重、身高、身 體質量數與超音波骨質密度等。結果分析除基本描述性統計外並進行獨立性 t-test、單因子變異數分析、與線性複迴歸分析法等方法。研究結果發現骨質疏鬆 之盛行率為24.7%(88人),骨質密度與年齡呈顯著負相關,男性骨質密度較女性 為高,此結果顯示女性的確較男性容易罹患骨質疏鬆症。停經婦女之骨質密度明 顯低於未停經婦女,停經會對婦女造成除高齡外所帶來對骨質密度的影響。骨質 密度與身體質量數無關。以線性複迴歸分析,結果發現,影響男性骨質密度僅年 齡一項,而年齡與停經與否則互相獨立與女性骨質密度有關。根據本研究結果可 作為一般民眾接受超音波骨質密度篩檢意願的參考,提早預防骨質疏鬆症,尤其 是老年人及停經後之婦女。
     In this exploratory study, we examined the relations between bone mineral density (BMD) and gender, age, menstrual status, and body mass index (BMI). A total sample of 356 (152 males and 204 females) was selected from a Physical Examination Center in a medical center in Southern Taiwan. The bone mineral density was evaluated by quantitative ultrasound. In addition to basic descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA test, and multiple linear regression were employed. Results: The prevalence of osteoporosis was 24.7% in this study. BMD was negatively associated with age. Men's BMD was significantly higher than women's. Postmenopausal women had lower BMD. Multiple linear regression revealed that age was the only factor that was associated with BMD in males, and menstrual status and age were independently associated with BMD in females. Height, weight, and BMI were not associated with BMD. Conclusion: This study provides a good reference when BMD screening is considered, especially for elderly and postmenopausal women.
