     秦觀,原字太虛,改字少游,號淮海居士,生於朱仁宗皇佑元年,卒於宋哲宗 元符三年,為北宋後期婉約派傑出詞人。  黃昏意象是秦觀詞重要的藝術表現,所謂「黃昏意象」,是以夕陽、落日為中心意象, 並匯聚其他物象而組成的意象群。秦觀詞中黃昏意象的情感指歸是黃昏閨怨、日暮送別、斜 陽羈旅、日暮途遠,偏向「暝色起愁」,而缺乏黃昏回歸的圓滿心境。  從格式塔心理學派的「異質同構」之說,黃昏意象正是秦觀感傷生命情調的顯現。秦觀 生命本質敏感纖細,仕途蹇困使他遇挫則摧,以詞「自寫傷心」,以黃昏意象顯現黯淡悲抑 之情、人生遲幕之感。王國維《人間詞話》:「少游詞境最淒婉,至「可堪孤館閉春寒,杜 鵑聲裡斜陽暮」,則變為淒厲矣。」從黃昏意象的使用,也可以看出他的詞風從柔婉到淒婉 、淒厲的變化軌跡。
     The style of Chin Guan's poetry is graceful and restrained, and he is one of the outstanding poets of the later Pei-Sung. One significant writing feature in Chin Guan's poetry is "the Image of Dusk", which is centered on the scene of the setting sun with other objects to make up the whole group of images. "The Image of Dusk" in his poetry expresses the sorrowful feelings during the sunset, instead of the satisfactory ones on the trip of return. Since his personal qualities are tender and sentimental, he became frustrated while encountering the difficulties in his official career Therefore, "the Inage of Dusk" in his poetry implies his gloominess and sorrow to his fate and the sentiment of closing to the end of life In addition, in the usage of "the Image of Dusk" in his poetry implies his gloominess and sorrow to his fate and the sentiment of closing to the end of life In addition, in the usage of "the Image of Dusk", one can also find the change of his style of poetry from tender and delicate into desolate and sorrowful.
