鋼琴四手聯彈在一般人的心目中常憑直覺給予外表上的定位，認為只是小場面 合奏，對其深層精髓不太能有機會了解。本文針對四手聯彈的歷史傳承與意義、彈奏技術認 知及教學實務功能與曲目分類資源等幾大方向作多元性的探討，旨在認識四手聯彈的價值與 意義，突破多數人原本較直接、外在的評斷，使它普遍融入彈奏者的學習過程中並生活化， 以提升此項音樂藝術的地位。 　四手腳彈的歷史悠久，角色也豐富，在十八、十九世紀始終是家庭聚會、社交場合中不 可或缺的重要娛樂，同時它擔負認識新知的管道，藉由將其他器樂原由改編成聯彈曲的方式 達成獲取新知的目的。而現今四手聯彈的角色改變，它的用途與以往大不相同；無論在彈奏 或教學功能上都是另具意義的。本文的目標便是從彈奏技巧與教學功能的配合，進而和曲目 資源連結，以開拓對四手聯彈的視野，並更了解其中真義。

　　　　　People usually instinctively consider the piano duet as a small type of chamber music It may be that they have less opportunity to know deeply the essence of the duet The purpose of this study is to know better the worth and meaning of the piano duet, and to avoid rough judgement from its outside look Hopefully, through the search of four major parts. hristorical growth and meaning 、technical experiences、teaching practices、types and sources of repertoires, the piano duet can regularly be part of the process of piano learning and its status in the musical art can also be higher promoted. For long history of piano duet, it was important housemusic and social music in the European Society at the 18th and 19the centuries Besides, it bore a responsibility of transcriptions from any kinds of instrumental music for attaining new informations. At the present time, the position of the piano duet is changed completely with new meaning. The aim in this study tries to combine the performing technique and teaching function with repertoire research for its broader view of values.
