一九二四年以來，加拿大已依「國家檔案法」及相關政策，建立健全的檔案保存年限訂定與計畫清理制度。該制主要規範聯邦機關檔案保存年限之訂定、清理授權、保存價值鑑定及清理申請案之審核等作業。本文旨在探討該國有關檔案保存年限之訂定與鑑定制度，作為我國推展是項制度之參考。
