     文藻外語學院有鑑於國小英語師資培育教學實習之重要性,於89年度起結合「英語教學實習的與觀摩」課程和社區教學服務,將高雄市獅湖國小與新上國小兩校一及二年級五十三位位學童帶進校園,由三十位文藻國小英語教學實習學員在二位教師指導下進行英語教學。本文主要目的在探討「英語實習與觀摩」課程的規劃與設計、實施過程及學習成果評量。本研究更進一步探討問卷與訪談之結果。30位國小英語教學實習學員經過一年的實習與觀摩訓練之後,即施予問卷調查與訪談,結果顯示學員在實習與觀摩同儕及有經驗老師教學之後,對自己的英語教學成長均有正面評估。本研究成果可提供未來中小學英語師資培育課程規劃之參考。
     This paper reports on the design and implementation the Practicum and Observation course offered at Wenzao Ursuline College of Languages in Kaohsiung, and provided a preliminary evaluation of its overall effectiveness. This pre-service language teacher training course included both a practicum and observation and was offered for the first time in the 1999-2000 academic year. It was a two-credit elective course designed for those fifth-year junior college students and two-year college students who intended to become teachers of English for young learners. By the end of the course, trainees were invited to take part in an interview and questionnaire. All of the trainees who took part in the Practicum and Observation course agreed that they had gained considerable benefits from the course, particularly in terms of teaching practice skill and professional development. The details of the results from this questionnaire and interview are also discussed in this paper.
