本文主要藉由以往超高層建築物發生的火災案例中其資料之調查與蒐集，分析建築物內部人員基本特性、避難行為特性、避難安全對策與空間安全特性並考慮消防救災工作之需求，探討超高層建築物設置安全層之必要性，做為超高層建築物於發生火災時能適切的提供住戶逃生避難與消防人員搶救災害之需要，並進一步的提供國內爾後在興建超高層建築物時設計安全局之參考。

This research collects some investigations and records of fire cases of giant ultra-high-floor buildings and give analyses to understand the mode of escaping behavior. This paper also considers the demanded work of fire fighting as well as probe into the necessity of setting up safety floors in order to let people properly evacuate from giant ultra-high-floor buildings and to propose fire fighters specific knowledge for rescue. Furthermore, it can be a reference resource to the design of refuge floors in giant ultra-high-floor buildings in Taiwan.
