本文共分四部分，分別從謝赫「氣韻生動」命題的出典，再而論及歷代思想的詮釋，以至當代的新詮釋，最後，附上筆者個人的結論。在第一部份針對謝赫目前已知的文獻來揣摩謝赫的意蘊。第二部分，從歷代的討論中找出「氣韻生動」這個命題在歷史上曾被引發出來的問題有哪些。第三部份，針對當代的學者對「氣韻」生動所提出的新看法加以整理。

　　　　　This article is divided into four parts, dealing first with the allusion of Qi-yun-shen-dong, the interpretations about it during different times in history and the contemporary interpretation, and finally the conclusion. The first part is to figure out what Xie He meant by the term through studying all the known literatures. The second part is to show the meanings this proposition has provoked throughout history by looking the discussions made during different times. The third part is to sort out the news interpretations made by the contemporary scholars about the concept.
