骨骼肌之收縮可分靜態與動態兩種。靜態收縮時,可因肌肉在不同收縮角度(即收縮位置)下,造成肌動蛋白與肌凝蛋白上之橫橋接觸之數目的不同,而使肌力產生有大小之別。動態收縮時,也因不同之收縮速度而影響肌力大小之產生。當肌肉收縮速度慢時,其產生之肌力會大於收縮速度較快時所產生之肌力。如果收縮之速度大於0時,稱為向心收縮,收縮速度小於0時,則稱為離心收縮。在自然環境下,肌肉的動態收縮,其收縮速度是不定的,但在人造的環境下,利用等速肌力機,可造成所謂的等速收縮,也就是收縮過程的速度相同。本文介紹肌肉的不同收縮型態及其收縮之力學與生理特性。
