This interview is a dialogue with the author of How does Asia mean: the Inter-Cultural Japan. In this interview, the author proposes an "inter"-cultural method, through reference to different local historical experiences, so that different living spaces can be understood in different way. The author further traces her own changing trajectories in relation to the transformations of living environment. Therefore, to think about Asia through Japanese intellectual history is to treat Asia as a medium so as to open up the possibility of the multiplicity of the world.
