     目的:血清素系統被證實對聽覺誘發波N100 及P200 的組成有關,另有研究顯示聽覺誘發波的產生有遺傳性因素存在。血清素載具(serotonin transporter) 是突觸間隙的血清素再攝回突觸前神經元的主要工具,而該基因有一縱排重複變異數目區段被認為會影響轉譯的能力。本研究檢測5HTT-VNTR 基因多型性對重度憂鬱症患者聽覺誘發波N100、P200組成的影響。 方法:本研究收集133個未曾治療的重度憂鬱症病患,在使用藥物治療前施與長程聽覺誘發波N100、P200與5HTT-VNTR基因多型性的檢測。 結果:結果發現12/12 基因型比非12/12 基因型有較短的N100、P200 潛值與較大的N100 振幅。 結論:我們的研究發現5HTT-VNTR 基因多型性影響重度憂鬱症患者聽覺誘發波N100、P200 的組成。
     Objectives: Heritability has also been shown to be involved in the genesis ofAEP components. A role ofserotonergic system has been implicated in the NIOO and P200 components of auditory evoked potentials (AEPs) . The serotonin transporter is the major site of serotonin reuptake into the presynaptic neuron and it has been determined that two polymorphisms of the serotonin transporter (5HTT-LPR, serotonin transporter-linked polymorphism region; 5HTT-VNTR, variable number tandem repeat polymorphism in intron 2 of the serotonin transporter gene) may affect transcriptional activity. This study tested the hypothesis that 5HTT-VNTR genetic polymorphism affects the Nl and P2 components of AEPs. Methods: A total of 133 patients with major depressive disorder who were naive to treatment with SSRIs were enrolled. NIOO and P200 components ofAEPs were tested prior the administration SSRIs medications. Testing for 5HTT-VNTR genetic polymorphism was performed with standard PCR procedures. Results: Patients with the 12/12 genotype had a significantly shorter NIOO, P200 latency and larger NIOO amplitude compared with non-12/12 genotype carriers. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that 5HTT-VNTR polymorphism affects the NIOO andP200 components of AEPs in patients with major depressive disorder.
