This thesis primarily focused on making a study of the origin of the most familiar tune ‘Qi Shi Diao in Taiwan, and the connection between this tune and the cognate songs which spread in Taiwan. Through analyses and comparisons of songs’ scores one by one, first, finding clear that this ‘Qi Shi Diao is not only identified with ‘Tan Qin Zai in the Taiwanese Opera, but also the same origination with ‘Tan qin Jia, which spread in China. And melodies of these folk songs is all originated from north China popular time Yin Niu Si, which is developed in Ming dynasty, between Jia Jing times and Long Qing times. Next, the thesis also research on the cognate tune with this ‘qi Shi Diao in Taiwan Bei Guan and Hakka folk songs, inducing that these melodies all separately had its own origin, respectively came from the two kinds of changed tones of Yin Niu Si, but its name and inner melody have been changed already. Therefore, it shows that it has developed it own special features in Taiwan, also showed regular pattern of spreading ame alike in have its different, And have in differently its ame alike.’in folk songs.
