The purposes of this study were: 1.) to observe the relationships among leisure participation, career development and burnout; 2.) to explore the effects of leisure participation and career development on burnout; and 3.) to explore the interactive effects of leisure participation and career development on burnout. This research examines the types of strategies used by exercise instructors in Taiwan. Adopting "A Questionnaire of Exercise Instructors' Working Situation in Sport & Health Clubs" for study tool. This research uses convenience sampling, sends out 410 questionnaires altogether, retrieves 337 shares, with 327 shares of effective questionnaires, and a response rate 82.20 percent. This research adopts the descriptive statistics, Pearson product-moment correlation and hierarchical multiple regression analysis, etc for data analysis. The results of study are: (1) leisure participation and career development take on a negative relationship with burnout; (2) the interactive effect of leisure participation and career development can reduce the burnout level; (3) the interactive effect of leisure participation and career development can reduce the burnout level.
