本文探討於七十年代在亞洲的社會與歷史語境下，李小龍藝術表達的政治意義。因為香港成為「功夫文化革命」的先驅，李小龍的美學孕育出脫殖民形象與亞洲群眾的敘述。透過李小龍象徵主義與武術指導的重要考查，作者試圖在象徵範圍裏勾畫出解放敘述。橫跨象徵性與真實的社會主體，照耀著亞洲群眾為解放而鬥爭的李小龍動力敘述之寓意結構。特別地，作者視在李小龍動力敘述中的泛中國民族主義與帝國主義的超越性辯證法，為從次等民族主義到民主化的亞洲群眾運動（如香港、泰國、菲律賓等）演變進程的暗喻表達。因此，這些有機聯繫的編造能使人達到在全球化發展下在亞洲脫殖民的社會主體。
