近年來，由於網際網路技術的進步，帶動了電子商務的快速成長，商品資訊查詢作業的功能受到學術界與實務界的重視。至目前為止，雖然有許多資訊查詢的方法被應用在電子商務的查詢作業，但是有關於語意方面的處理能力，仍然受到相當程度的限制。本研究目的為提出一個以語意相似度為基礎之語意查詢方法，並予以應用在電子商務的查詢作業，能改進資訊查詢作業的品質與效率。為驗證本研究提出的方法再電子商務應用之實用性，本研究乃發展一套在Web作業環境下之語意查詢工具，以一個大型商品資料庫做為實作的對象，並與業界使用之搜尋引擎的關鍵字查詢方法進行比較分析，根據研究的結果發現以語意相似度基礎之語意查詢方法，在查詢類似商品的功能方面有較佳的查詢作業的品質，對於電子商務的查詢作業將有相當程度的助益。

Recently, electronic commerce has been grown very rapidly due to the improvement of information technology of Internet. Therefore, information retrieval (IR) on EC calls for the attention from both the academics and practitioners. Although many information retrieval methods have been proposed, however, the ability of semantic information retrieval is still limited. The purpose of this paper is to propose a semantic information retrieval method based on semantic similarity degree (SSD) to improve the service quality of information retrieval on EC. To demonstrate the applicability of the proposed method, a tool of semantic information retrieval method on Internet is developed. A comparative study of the proposed method with the keyword-based information retrieval method is conducted. The subject of this empirical study is a perfume commercial product database system. Research finding shows the results of significant improvements of information retrieval on EC by using the proposed method.
