The study designs a questionnaire of fire fighting for buildings through relative literatures and work experience. In order to comprehend the actual situations and the influencing factors on job performance for building fire fighting at present, this research proceeds to survey for the fire fighters and the superiors in Taiwan, gathers the data and analyzes it. Areas of the investigation include Taipei city, Taichung city, Tainan county, Tainan city, Kaohsiung City and Hualien county. Contexts of investigations include possible influencing factors regarding characteristics of firefighters, administrative management, equipment resources, ability of firefighting, and firefighter job performance. Analysis between variables or factors, factor development and establishment of explanatory model for firefighter job performance have been done by employing statistical methods such as factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, regression model and path analysis.
